To my dearest customers,
Shall I retire or not retire?
That is the question?
Do I have your attention?
You all know, I love what I do
and I love all of you, and it’s all about you, my friends!!
I love being creative with you,
hopefully teaching and inspiring you with our samples and providing product
that makes us all want to create beautiful art!!
That said, I was talking to a
nice lady in the store one day and after a while I learned she had been looking
for space in Northville, to open a store!! She asked if we could meet again,
she had more questions. I agreed and we have been talking for several weeks
now! After much thought and a few sleepless nights, I decided rather than fully
retiring, she and I would divide this large space into two spaces!!
I have thought about this shared
concept for quite some time, but it takes the right person and type of business
to make it happen! I found that, and a new friendship has begun and a new
business will grow in downtown Northville! This has always been one of my
passions to bring new brick and mortar retail to the city that has been my
retail home for just over 42 years!!
So the wheels are in motion,
there is a lot to do, for two of us to share this space! We will be doing some
major renovations, which means, I will have to temporarily close for 4-6 weeks starting May
11th.
We will be open through the Novi
scrapbook convention, which is May 7-9 !!
I have started cleaning out the
ultimate craft studio! Yikes! LOL!! Every cupboard, closet and drawer has to be
touched, and it’s overwhelming to say the least!! There will be lots of stuff
that will need a new home, so sales will start soon!!
This change will be challenging,
creative and hard work, not only in decorating a new space but downsizing the
space! This new chapter will ease me into full retirement in a few years, I’m
not getting any younger ya know!! But not quite ready to be done!!
